“Recognition is nice,” she said. “But real work is done when no one is looking.”
She helps support programs that give children better opportunities to grow and thrive. She believes real change is slow and steady. Not flashy. Not overnight.

Liao also supports art. For 17 years, she has sponsored the Vancouver Beauty Dance World gala. The event features Chinese dance, jazz, K-pop, and more. She sees the arts as a way for kids to grow their confidence and find a voice.
“Art is more than performance,” she told me. “It’s a way to learn who you are.”
She believes that dance and music can bring communities together. It’s another part of her mission to support growth from the inside out.
